Today I worked at the retail store. We sell mostly dress clothes for working women, so we're expected to wear clothing similar to that in our store when we're at work. Today I wore the outfit seen in these pictures. As I mentioned in my previous post, I paired my Ann Taylor necklace and bracelet with my simple striped 3/4 length sleeve t-shirt and slacks to make the outfit more dressy. It's amazing what a little bit of jewelry can do! I also added a shiny silver belt and patent open-toed silver shoes to complete the look. Best of all, not only did I feel great in my outfit, but I also felt insanely comfortable!!! I'll be wearing this shirt with my sweatpants tonight as I watch the season finale of "The Bachelorette." Gotta love a shirt that can be dressed up for work, yet still casual and comfortable enough to lounge around in :-) I bought it in a navy color today, too!

Yes, they do! It's new in the fall line so it's still in stores. They also carry it online. You can click on the link next to the photo where it says Shirt: Ann Taylor, and that will take you right to the item. If you order online, use the code FBFRIENDS at checkout and you'll save 30% now through August 8th!
ReplyDeleterachael, you are the most fashion forward person i know! :) your outfit looks soo comfortable and also very dressy.
ReplyDeletedo you realize that most people cannot afford to spend $80 alone on jewelry for an outfit. most people are not rich. can you suggest better alternatives kthanks
ReplyDeleteI made sure that I let everyone know about the 30% off coupon because that brings the necklace down to under $27. If it's a piece that you know you'll wear often, it's worth the investment.
ReplyDeleteAside from that, I very rarely spend that much money on jewelry myself. You can find inexpensive jewelry in similar styles at H&M and Charlotte Russe. I get most of my jewelry from those two stores.
Here are links to two similar necklaces for under $10 each:

These bracelets would match really well and are only $4:
