Fun Fit Finds

I don't know about you, but I'm still working on developing routines that help me to stay balanced while being socially distant.  I start each day with positive affirmations (check out the Spirit Junkie app by Gabby Bernstein), some physical activity, getting showered and dressed, and then drafting and sticking to my work schedule.  Each day, I end by journaling about three things I am grateful for.  These range from the fact that I actually put on makeup, to opting to skip the ice cream after lunch or being able to snuggle up at the end of the day with my hubby and cats.  What routines are you developing to maintain a sense of normalcy?

For my workout, I always start with 5 minutes of light cardio to get my blood pumping and heart rate going.  I either start on the elliptical, stationary bike, or treadmill.  Then, I focus on a target muscle group (like my legs, glutes, or arms) and end with abs (planks for the win!).  My favorite exercise lately has been the Zottman curl.  It's a fun twist on your regular bicep curl that works not only your biceps but also your brachioradialis and forearms in one easy move.  Learn how to do it here

After my workout, I like to rehydrate with Arbonne's PhytoSport Complete Hydration.  It's a tropical berry flavored powder mixed with water that delivers a blend of 6 electrolytes to support optimal hydration for proper muscle and cell function, and to replenish electrolytes lost during exercise

I'm wearing active cropped leggings from Spanx.  These leggings are great because they are high-waisted, give your booty a lift, move with you, and pass the squat test.  I also like the metallic flair along the bottom; so fun!

For my sports bra, I'm wearing a seamless version from Marika.  While this same one is no longer available, they have lots of others on their website in fun prints, seamless styles, or with strappy backs or full support.  I love their sports bras because they don't ride up, don't pinch under your arms, and are great for yoga, too.

If you're finding it difficult to get into an at-home workout routine, or you don't know where to start without the equipment you usually have at your gym, I highly recommend reaching out to my trainer, Chevon Dortch of Dynasty Fitness.  He's currently offering his Gold Membership valued at $125 for $30 a month!  Shoot him an email at dortchdynastyfitness@gmail.com or text him at 312-989-5902 for more details.
