WFH Hair

The beautiful island of Burano in the Northern Venetian Lagoon.

If you're like me, the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic has got you working from home.  Those who know me know I NEVER wear my hair up, but working from home has me feeling less motivated to go through the process of styling my hair everyday.

This summer, prior to a trip to Italy with my husband, Ryan, I was searching for something that would allow me to feel more comfortable and confident with my hair up since I knew we'd be spending long days outside in the sweltering summer sun.  My hair is very fine and layered, so putting it in a ponytail always left me with flyaways or small portions of my hair falling down.  I did a quick Amazon search for hair accessories, and found the DRESHOW 6 Pack Headbands for $9.99.  I figured, "Why not give it a try?!"

I can honestly say that I love these handbands and rarely go out with my hair up without them.  They were a lifesaver in the summer heat in Italy, and have become my go-to style while working from home (#WFH).  They come in a variety of colors or patterns so they match everything, and they also stay in place.  They don't feel tight on my head (no headaches!), and are super soft.  If you're looking for a solution to keep your hair off your neck and away from your face as the weather heats up, or you're looking for a quick styling solution while working from home, I highly recommend you check these out.

My daily caffeine fix!
In addition to adapting to my new work from home style, I've had to adapt to making it through the day without my daily Starbucks (I know, #firstworldproblems).  When I was introduced to Arbonne, I fell in love with their Energy Fizz Sticks.  The pomegranate flavor shaken with some fresh blackberries and strawberries is giving me enough kick to get me through the day, thanks to the caffeine from green tea.  They also come in citrus and limited edition rose champagne or green apple.  Bonus:  Only 2 grams of added sugar and no heart palpitations like I get from regular energy drinks.

Also, in thinking about my travels through Italy, it's hard to think about all the country is going through in the midst of the Coronavirus crisis.  My heart is breaking for the people of Italy and those with friends and family there.  I did a quick Google search for how to support Italy, and was surprised when it yielded few results.  Check out this article from Forbes if you're looking for ways to help.

If you are unlike me and are out and about for work everyday, know that I am grateful for you and understand the risks you are taking every day.  If you are someone who is struggling financially due to job loss as a result of this pandemic, please comment with how I can support you (sending you a gift card for food delivery, buying virtual music lessons, etc.).  We are all in this together.
