Finding Balance

How are you finding ways to stay balanced and practice self-care?  I’m a Type A personality, and am used to having my day mapped out minute by minute with a color coded to-do list (thank you, Passion Planner!).  Even while working on a modified schedule from home, I write out each day’s to-do’s and often feel like I’m rushing from one task to the next.

Today, I reminded myself that it’s okay to slow down.  It’s okay to prioritize yourself.  It’s okay to take a pause, acknowledge that things are hard right now, and breathe into the discomfort.  It’s okay to make space for the small things that bring you joy for no reason other than that they make you feel good.

I've been reading Super Attractor, by Gabby Bernstein, and it's been a great reminder that when we focus on the positives and actively seek what feels good, we open ourselves up to welcoming more joy into our lives.  So, take the time to do yoga, read a book, journal, call a friend, have a dance party, exercise, binge-watch a show, or whatever it is that makes you feel happy. In times like these, and always (truthfully), it’s important that we recognize and attend to our own needs. How are you making space for joy today?  How are you choosing to focus on what makes you happy in order to bring more joy into your life?

Today, I'm wearing a workout set from Stronger.  You know I love my neutrals, but it’s always fun to change it up with a funky pattern. I’m a huge fan these Phoenix feathered tights and matching sports bra. The material is incredibly soft, so it's great for both lounging and exercising!  I would say it fits true to size.  I'm typically between a medium and a small, but went for the small which fits perfectly.  The set is currently 40% off for their Easter sale, and I've linked it below.  It also comes in 11 other colors and patterns!

I'm also wearing my Glossed Over lip gloss from Arbonne.  I love this lip gloss because it's not tacky and wears longer than any of my other lip glosses.  It also doesn't leave my lips dry or chapped afterwards.  I got it as part of the Ready in Five makeup set, which also includes brow cream or pencil, CC cream foundation, blush, and their Speak Volumes mascara (rated in the Top 10 of the 50 Best Mascaras by Wall Street Journal).  It's all vegan, gluten free, PETA approved, and free from toxins.  I love this whole set because it's a quick way for me to get ready each day and keep my routine even if I'm going to be stuck inside.  Like I said, Type A personality; I am a creature of habit.
